    This group of dedicated volunteers coordinates athletics-appreciation events during the year and generates ideas for communicating athletics information to the Bush Community; This group also reviews and revises as needed the Bush Gear selection. Meets once per month for 90 minutes with some additional meetings for events.

  • Concession Stand Manager

    Manage the concessions stand, including placing orders and purchasing supplies; coordinate the volunteer‘s work schedules to man the stand during home games during Fall and Winter seasons.

  • Concession Stand Workers

    Work behind the concession counter with your child or a friend. Shifts can be arranged individually; shifts are generally no more than two hours. Home games in Fall and Winter seasons. 10 minute training will be provided.

    Creative? This job is for you. Create bulletin boards in the Commons and the Middle School that attract the eye to the athletic events of the school. This requires initial creation only as maintenance can be done by others.

    We need two or three score keepers for every Upper and Middle school home volleyball and basketball game. Score one game or one season. Consult the athletic website for dates and times. Brief training will be provided. No experience required.

  • Team Parent

    Posted: September 6, 2006

    Every Bush teams needs a team parent. Talk with your child‘s coach for the details (each team is unique) but creating team email distribution lists (the old phone tree) for communication; recruiting volunteers from your child‘s team to help at athletic events like the Sports Appreciation Evening; halftime refreshments (if appropriate); help coach plan end of season get-together; and coordinate team parents participation in Sports Appreciation Evening.

Volunteer Opportunity Attributes

WPF - Working Parent Friendly Does not require meetings to take place during the school day.  Events usually occur in the evening.  Some of the work can be done at your worksite or at home.

SYC - School Year Commitment Requires you to attend meetings during the school day on campus, from one to four times per month.  Often these roles start in mid-August and end mid-June.

IC - Intermittent Commitment Requires you to attend meetings on campus occasionally for projects that are short-term or periodic. 

EMF - Email Friendly Strongly recommended you to be on email and to check it / respond regularly.

KF - Kid Friendly Involves working with students.

SF - Staff Friendly Involves working with Bush School staff members or faculty.
