Cross Country at the ECL Championships at Lincoln Park

Congratulations to all runners for a great race! We had some awesome performances from both the boys and girls in the last league meet of the year, the ECL Championships at Lincoln Park. In the boy’s race, Ethan led the way once again, powering, chasing, and thundering to a second place finish! This caps off an incredible streak of four consecutive seasons earning all-league honors (14th, 9th, 5th, 2nd)! Next across the line, also earning all-league honors for the second year in a row, Taylor crossed the finish in eighth place (improving on his 12th place finish last year) in a course PR of 17:36! Esrom, Emil, Kiran, and Gabriel battled the field the entire race and came across the line in 26th, 33rd, 56th, and 71st places respectively. The boys finished in fourth place overall in the league, in a great showing by a young team. Congrats to Ethan for crushing it at his last ECL Championships!

The girl’s team had an impressive race as well, led by three-time all-league, and two-time all-league runners Ela and Lolo finishing together in 8th and 9th place respectively. Both runners have earned all-league honors every year they’ve run on the team! Amazing! Finishing in an outstanding 16th place (one gosh darn spot off all-league!) was Audrey, crushing her 29th place finish from ECL Championships last year! Anika, Liya, Anya, and Jazz finished it off for our girls team, each of them working hard and running great races in their first ECL Championships! The Miksovsky sisters had personally impressive races, with Liya besting her PR by nearly a minute and Anya CRUSHING her PR by 1:40! The girls team were oh-so-close to the podium finishing in 4th place by just three points!

On to Bi-Districts!
