Parent University is Back!

Join Dr. Eli R. Lebowitz on Tuesday, October 26 for the virtual Parent University kickoff!
Parent University is our annual parent education series for the entire Seattle parent community. This year, Parent University will be offered quarterly as a virtual series, culminating in an in-person, half-day conference on Saturday, April 30, 2022 (pending current COVID-19 Protocols). Each Parent University lecture features a relevant topic about raising children in today’s society. Previous topics have included citizenshipparenting to embrace diversity, equity and inclusionlearning differences, and digital safety

Dr. Eli R. Lebowitz will kickoff Parent University on Tuesday, October 26 at 5:00 p.m. Professor Lebowitz is the Program Director for Anxiety Disorders at the Yale Child Study Center. One in three children experiences a clinically impairing anxiety disorder during their development, making anxiety the most common mental health concern among youth. This talk will provide parents with practical tools for helping their child overcome anxiety. Dr. Lebowitz will introduce parents to SPACE, a novel, scientifically supported, and completely parent-based treatment for childhood and adolescent anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder. For information about SPACE visit: www.spacetreatment.net.

In an effort to make parenting resources more accessible to families, all virtual Parent University events are free to both Bush parents/guardians and the greater Seattle parent community, but please be sure to register in advance.

If you are interested in volunteering for Parent University, contact Kelly Cundiff or Events and Community Engagement Manager Amelia Kramer.
