The Bush SchoolAnnouncements

Upper School End of Semester Schedule and Finals

As a reminder, first semester ends on January 12, 2023. Year-long classes do not have a cumulative final at the end of first semester, so the week prior to Winter Break will be a normal week of classes. Semester-long classes may have a cumulative final, though many will have some other form of assessment (i.e. projects or papers). For the semester-long classes that do choose to have a cumulative final, they will be held before the winter break during a normal class period.

Though the first semester extends two weeks past Winter Break, there will be structures in place to ensure that students are not doing school work during the break. We place a lot of importance on that break being a time for family, rest, and rejuvenation. No assignments will be due nor assessments given during that first week back in January; anything due the following week will not require any work to be done over the break.
