Host a Bush Upper School Intern!
We invite you to participate in our Upper School internship program. The internships will take place during our 2023-2024 Internship Cascades Program, Wednesday, January 17-Tuesday, January 30.

Internships
One of the Cascades to be offered to Eleventh Grade students is a ten-day internship placement with a local Seattle organization, company, or person. These internship placements will provide a way for students to experience a workplace, learn about their strengths and goals, take risks, and engage with the community.
Seeking Seattle-Area Internship Sites to Partner With Bush!
How it Will Work
We are seeking collaborators who can provide a meaningful experience that gives students some understanding of the working world in general and provides a reasonable level of mentoring and supervision to the students placed at your site.
- Students will have the opportunity to conduct their own outreach or choose an internship from a list of pre-approved sites.
- All students in internships will attend a one-day orientation and training with Bush Faculty and Staff prior to beginning their internship and a one-day reflection to conclude.
- All internship students will be paired with a Bush School Internship Committee Member who will be tracking them throughout their internship experience.
The non-profits and companies who have already partnered with us enjoy working with our students because they wish to be in a mentorship role with high school age students, and/or because their organization has some project-based, meaningful, and hands-on work that would be an appropriate match for a motivated high school student. This gives students exposure to adults who are working in their field of interest and exposure to a specific organizational culture.
