Middle School Urban Forest Stewards

Bush Middle School students were featured in the Madison Park Times for their work as Urban Forest Stewards at Harrison Greenbelt. While serving the forest and the community, E-lective students learn about the benefits of urban forests for water filtration, biodiversity, air quality, and human well-being. The longevity of this good work, a program now seven years strong, is based on a partnership between Bush, community greenspace stewards, Seattle Parks and Recreation, and the land conservancy non-profit group Forterra.
