Middle and Upper School Advisories Join for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Activism Workshop

Leading up to the Bush Day of Service on Wednesday, April 3, Middle School and Upper School advisories will be paired for a series of workshops related to activism, justice, and service. The first workshop took place today, Thursday, January 11 during which students took time to discuss what issues are important to them around Bush, Seattle, and beyond.

Director of Community, Equity, and Inclusion JūLondré Brown shared: "It's great that Middle School and Upper School students have this opportunity to come together to move beyond commemoration of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, which is lovely, to activation around contemporary social issues, which is imperative to 'the creation of the beloved community.'"
