Bush Golfers Stomp Seattle Academy, Remain Undefeated

The Bush golf team moved to 3-0 on the season with a 172-192 thumping of Seattle Academy Tuesday afternoon. Having already defeated league rival Overlake, the win put Bush firmly in first place and in control of the Emerald City League.
The Blazers were led by their captain, senior Ian G., who broke out of an early season slump to shoot even-par 36 on the Jefferson Park front-9. The highlight of Ian's round was a 360 yard drive on the par-5 8th hole. Without wind, and on a perfectly flat terrain, the shot was surely one of the longest ever hit by a Bush golfer. Ian converted big tee shot into an easy two-putt birdie, and nearly birdied the final hole as well.
Behind Ian, sophomore Jackson L. fired a smooth 42, while Craig B. had a 45. Jaan B., playing in the number 6 spot, rounded out the scoring with a personal-best 49.
The Blazers have only a single day off before facing Seattle Academy again on Thursday.
