Golfers Stay Hot; Dominate SAAS

Alec Osenbach
Led by standout performances from Ian G. and Jackson L., the Bush golfers beat Seattle Academy for the second time this week. Playing on the par-36 front 9 at Jefferson Park, the boys shot a combined 167 to best their league rivals by nearly 25 strokes.
The top pairing of Bush golfers set the tone for the match, with senior captain Ian G. backing up his even par round on Tuesday with an equally impressive 37 on Thursday. He was matched by sophomore teammate Jackson L., who also navigated the course with ease. Though neither golfer had much success putting, they both finished 7 strokes clear of the top SAAS player. Ian and Jackson together have accounted for every individual match victory so far this year.

Bush also benefited from a strong performance from sophomore Craig B., who shot a personal-best 42. Sophomore Jaan B. rounded out the scoring with a 51.

Bush will face Overlake next, with a chance to secure the Emerald City League Championship with a win. That match wil take place on Monday at Jefferson Park.
