Bush Drops Close Match Against Bainbridge

Alec Osenbach
The Bush golfers began a busy week of golf on Monday, taking on Bainbridge Island at Winged Point golf course. Taking advantage of a break in the rain, the Blazers turned in a strong team effort at the difficult and well-manicured course, but fell a few strokes shy of victory.

Like clockwork, medalist honors went to Bush's Jackson L., who turned in an impressive 40. But the highlight of the match was the breakout performance of freshman Henry H., who carded his best round of the season with a 48. Henry was followed by senior leader Cooper J. with a 49 and Craig B. with a 50. In what is becoming commonplace for the Bush squad, the strong team effort came up just 5 strokes short, as Bainbridge won the match 182-187.

The Blazers play next at Redmond Ridge on Wednesday, before facing Bainbridge at home on Friday.
