A Tale of Two Halves

Coach Steve Rosen
Middle School Girls "White" team gets off to a slow start then comes on strong in the second half.
The Middle School Girls "White" team went on the road to the Northwest School for our first game of the season and got off to a slow start before coming alive in the second half to outscore Northwest.

Northwest featured some very tall players so we had to contend with a lot of offensive rebounds and putbacks to start the game, and turnovers hurt the Blazers on offense, but slowly the team started to settle down and play with better control on both ends of the court.

In games like these the final result can sometimes come down to which team had more luck in getting shots to fall and the Blazers struggled through some cold shooting at the outset.

Given that Northwest has already played 6 games dating back to November it was an excellent first game for the Blazers who were getting a taste for the court for the first time all season.

The Blazers don't have much time to rest as they face Seattle Country day in two days.

Go Blazers!
