Bush Falls to Seattle Academy

Alec Osenbach
The Bush golfers faced Seattle Academy for the second time in as many weeks, and though they put in a stronger performance, the Blazers were unable to come away with a win.

Having opened the season with a disappointing loss to Seattle Academy, the Blazers looked to improve their consistency in the rematch. As has often been the case in the last year, Bush was led by junior Jackson L., who shot a 41 on his way to medalist honors. After Jackson, though, the Blazers struggled to post competitive scores. Craig B. overcame several wayward tee shots to finish with a 50, and Cooper J. and freshman Henry H. followed with 54's.

Though the Bush team score of 199 was their highest so far this season, the difficult Jackson Park golf course was at least partially to blame. In contrast to the drubbing dealt by Seattle Academy in the first meeting, Bush was able to keep pace even with several tough breaks. This bodes well for the team as the prepare to face weaker opponents in upcoming matches.
