“Every day wake up with determination, and go to sleep with satisfaction.” - Daraja Academy Program Manager Carol Mwangi This week, The Bush School is fortunate to host visitors from the Daraja Academy — an all-girls secondary boarding school in Kenya that focuses on providing a free high school education to girls who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford one. In Swahili, “Daraja” means bridge. Daraja provides a transformative and holistic secondary education, creating a bridge to empowerment, leadership, well-being, independence, and a lifetime of opportunity.
