Dine, Engage, Learn, and Connect

The Commons serves as The Bush School’s space on campus to connect fellow community members through healthy and nutritious food!
 
In partnership with SAGE Dining Services, the focus is on safety, quality service, community, nutrition, education, sustainability, and delicious food made from scratch using seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients.

  • Updates to Dining Services

    As part of the Center Campus and Middle School Project, SAGE Dining will shift food service operations to the MLK Community Center, right next door to Bush, beginning Tuesday, January 6

    Looking ahead to the temporary MLK setup, here’s what families can expect
    :
    • Healthier, greener choices. In alignment with Bush’s sustainability values, the fryer will not make the move - SAGE will spotlight even more fresh, nutritious options.

    • Eco-friendly service. With limited dishwashing capacity, all utensils and dishware will be fully compostable.

    • Additional Upper School support. The Upper School Pantry has been expanded with more grab-and-go meals and snacks, supported by an extra SAGE staff member.
  • Lower School Lunch Information

    Prices
    • Hot lunch bundle: $6.95
    • Soup lunch bundle (10 oz soup, crackers, fresh fruit, and beverage): $6.95
    • Sandwich bundle (whole sandwich of the day or from daily menu with fresh fruit and beverage):$6.95
    Other healthy choice snacks available to order: graham crackers, roasted sunflower seeds, and Goldfish crackers. These items are $1.00 in addition, as snacks or extra additions to their lunch.
     
    Beverage choices: 2% milk, 100% apple juice or 100% grape juice. No Chocolate milk is offered.
     
    *Grades K-1 will dine in their class rooms with lunch delivery.
  • Middle & Upper School Lunch

    Middle and Upper School students may bring their own lunch and snacks from home. If Middle and Upper School students want to purchase a lunch on campus, they can do so through the SAGE Dining options. 
     
    Lunch price: $7.95
    • Hot lunch bundle includes fountain beverage
    • Sandwich bundle includes chips & fountain beverage
    • Salad bundle includes salad and beverage
    Other options: there are various grab in go items. Prices for these are listed in the Commons.
     
    Desserts will be sold on Wednesday and Fridays only this year (at this time)
    *Ice cream and non-dairy novelties are available daily with prices ranging from $2.50-$3
  • The Pantry

    Located in the Upper School New Building, the Pantry is a satellite location for the US and faculty and staff to grab things on the go. It features items such as salads, sandwiches, soup, fresh fruit cups, yogurt parfaits as well as, hot breakfast sandwiches and a daily lunch special. Cold beverages and coffee are also available as well as the new infamous smoothie/soft serve ice cream machine.

7:30-8:30 a.m.: Breakfast
9:50-10:10 a.m.: Morning break
12:30-1:30 p.m.: Lunch
*Wednesday, same schedule with the exception of breakfast starting later due to late arrival.
