Extended Day Registration for January Opens Saturday, December 10
Registration for January Middle School Extended Day will open at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10. Click here to register.
2022-2023 MIDDLE SCHOOL EXTENDED DAY HOURS
Monday through Friday: 3:30-6:00 p.m.
Morning Extended Day - Wednesday: 7:30-9:25 a.m.
REGISTRATION AND POLICY REGARDING DROP-INS
Middle School Extended Day January Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10. In order to best anticipate attendance in Middle School Extended Day, we ask that students register in advance. Reservations for individual days can be made in advance, one month at a time. However, when this is not possible, Middle School students may sign in with the librarian on duty by 3:45 p.m. If a particular day you need is currently full, you may select to be on the waitlist, and Extended Day Coordinator Luke Jesperson will email you if a spot becomes available. If an emergency arises and your student needs to attend Extended Day on short notice, please email Luke at extended.day@bush.edu.
In an effort to promote more equitable practices, we will prioritize single-parent working households and dual-working households for whom Extended Day is necessary to support the schedules of working parents/guardians. If you need to change an Extended Day reservation after it is complete, or if you have any further questions, please contact Luke.
There is no additional charge to families for the Middle School Extended Day program. Students need to sign in at the library by 3:45 p.m. and need to be picked up by 6:00 p.m.
EXTENDED DAY COVID-19 POLICIES
Extended Day will follow Bush’s COVID-19 policies. There may be some variation in protocols throughout the year based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Washington State Department of Health (WADOH) guidelines. We will make changes to the number of students allowed to register at Extended Day in accordance with Bush’s COVID-19 policies, more information will be shared if the capacity numbers change during the year.
