Reminder from School Wellness Coordinator - Masking After COVID-19 Exposure

See below for a message from School Wellness Coordinator Happy Salinas-Santos.

A reminder that masking is mandatory for 10 days after being a close contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. It is recommended to test if you have symptoms, and test often, as many individuals will test positive after several days of symptoms. Please see our Screening Chart for more information.

Rapid COVID-19 tests are readily available at the school should you need more tests. The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) released an official approval for the use of expired tests so long as the line next to the “C” printed on the test cartridge shows up when the specimen is added. If the quality control process fails, you should discard the entire box of tests. Additionally, please contact me should your student test positive for COVID-19, as I must report these cases to the DOH.

If you have any questions about the school's COVID-19 policies please reach out to me at happy.salinas-santos@bush.edu. Visit the COVID-19 Information webpage to view the biweekly COVID-19 dashboard and a complete list of the school’s current policies, contact information, and resources.
