2023-2024 New Staff

We are pleased to welcome our new staff to the Bush community. Read below to learn more about this amazing group, as well as community members with new titles, departures, and department chair titles. 

STAFF


Alexa Adams joined The Bush School in July as the Director of Programs of the Methow Campus and Semester School. Alexa recently worked at the Nashoba School in Concord, Massachusetts, and previously was the Director of Admissions And Financial Aid at The School for Ethics and Global Leadership in Washington, D.C. Alexa has a B.A. in Anthropology from Bates College, and M.Ed.in Education Leadership, Organizations, and Entrepreneurship from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
 
JūLondré Brown joined The Bush School in July as the Director of Community, Equity, and Inclusion. JūLondré comes to The Bush School from the Center for Justice Innovation in New York, NY, where he served as the Senior Program Manager for Equity Initiatives. His work at the Center focused on driving policy change toward racial equity in the criminal legal system and reducing the population disparities in local justice systems. JūLondré earned his M.A. in Educational Leadership, Politics and Advocacy  from New York University. He holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Yale University. 
 
Kenzie Brown joined The Bush School in July as a Database Manager in the Development Department. Most recently, Kenzie was a Rare Book Manager and Cataloguer with the Seattle Archdiocese Archives and Records Management. Kenzie earned a B.A. from Boise State University in History, and a Master’s in Library and Information Science from the University of Washington. 
 
Caitlin Cataldo joined Bush in July as the Associate Director of Admissions and Financial Aid. Most recently, Cailtin worked at Canterbury School in New Milford, Connecticut where she was the Associate Director of Admissions. Caitlin  holds a B.A. in American Studies from Connecticut College where she also played women’s lacrosse. 

David Fueger joined The Bush School in June as a Groundskeeper. Most recently, David was a Quality Assurance Specialist at Universal Cells in Seattle and an Instructor at Bellevue College. David earned a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Bradley University, and holds a M.A. in Professional, Technical, Business, and Scientific Writing, and English Language and Literature from Northern Arizona University. 
 
Renea Harris ’18 joins Bush as the Coordinator of College Counseling and Student Success. Renea most recently worked as a Career and Leadership Development Program Assistant with Rainier Scholars. Renea earned a B.A from Mount Holyoke College in Africana Studies and Religion (double major).  
 
Grace Katt is joining The Bush School as the Head Athletic Trainer. Most recently, Grace was assigned to serve as  the Athletic Trainer for The Bush School through Seattle Children’s Hospital. Grace, a Certified Athletic Trainer,  earned a B.S in Athletic Training from Central Michigan University and a Graduate Certificate in Orthopedics at A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona.
 
Michael Lindner joined The Bush School in July as the Database and Cloud Services Manager in the Technology Department. Most recently, Michael was an Impact Analytics Manager at City Year Seattle. Michael earned his B.S. in Physics and Astronomy (double major) from the University of Washington. 
 
Mylea Mann joined The Bush School in July as the Communications Associate. Most recently, Mylea worked at Bush as a temporary Administrative Assistant, Substitute Teacher, and Program Lead. Prior, Mylea was an Overnight Program Instructor at IslandWood on Bainbridge Island. Mylea earned her Master of Education in Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum from the University of Washington and holds a B.A. in English and Environmental Studies from St. Lawrence University. 
 
Colin Murray joined The Bush School in July as the Communications Manager. Prior, Colin was the Communications Manager at Seattle Girls’ School where he developed, managed, and implemented a comprehensive communications plan in support of SGS’s mission. Colin holds an M.S. in Fundraising and Grantmaking from New York University and a B.A. in Government and Legal Studies from Bowdoin College. 
 
Kerry Quinn joined The Bush School in July as the Event and Volunteer Coordinator in the Development Department. Prior, Kerry worked in the Seattle Public Schools as an  Experiential Learning Manager. Kerry earned her Bachelor of Arts from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, where she was a member of the women’s crew team. 
 
Olivia Simonson joins The Bush School as the Admissions Associate - Event and Volunteer Coordinator. Olivia most recently worked as a Circulation Desk Staff Member at St. Olaf Halvorson Music Library, as well as a Greek (Ancient) Lab Instructor at St. Olaf College. Olivia earned a B.A in Classics, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (dual major) from St. Olaf College. 

 
TRANSITIONS WITHIN THE BUSH SCHOOL

Julie Barber will transition to the position of Lower School Academic Dean. Most recently, Julie has been a Fourth Grade Faculty member at The Bush School. 
 
Robin Christy will transition from the Lower School to the Middle School as a part-time Learning Specialist. 
 
Cathy Hamblet will transition into the role of Math Specialist. Most recently, Cathy has been a Fourth Grade Faculty member at The Bush School. 

Nadia Jessa will transition into the role of Fourth Grade Teacher from the role of Event and Volunteer Manager in the Development Office. 
 
Brooke Krolick will transition from Upper School Science Faculty to K-12 Substitute Faculty.
 
Rachel Ladd will transition to the position of Program Manager working with the Upper School and the College Counseling and Student Success Office.
 
Christine Miller will hold the role of Acting Upper School Academic Dean, while continuing as an Instructional Coach and Upper School faculty member.  

Matt Swanson will transition from the Lower School to the Middle School as the Music Teacher.
