Collection Drive for Family Groups - Donate By Friday, March 28

Please see the message below from Claire F. ’25 below to learn more about the K-12 Family Group gathering on Friday, April 4, and items being collected for the drive for Backpack Brigade

Hey Blazers,
I’m Claire F., a senior and a member of the Community Engagement Center (CEC) –a group of Bush Upper School students who collaborate to create meaningful opportunities for their peers to make a positive impact on their wider communities. This month, members of our Bush student body have planned a way for us all to make a difference: A food drive for Backpack Brigade! The Backpack Brigade is dedicated to ending weekend hunger every week, and they need our help. This organization helps provide essential food items to students facing food insecurity, ensuring they have meals beyond the school cafeteria.

40,000 kids face the risk of weekend hunger in Washington State. Let’s do our part to help get that number down.

What can you do to help? Bring in donations based on the list below.
📅 Food Drive Dates: Monday, March 24 – Friday, March 28
📍 Drop-off Locations: Right outside the Community Room (Lower School), the Main Office (Middle School), USS (Upper School), and Faculty and Staff (outside Sarah Smith’s office). There will be boxes in the Commons for all levels.
🥇 Competition: LS vs. MS vs. US vs. Faculty/Staff (who will reign supreme?!)
🏆 Prize: The ultimate reward—bragging rights!

Here’s what we need:
