Social Justice Film Festival at The Bush School - Thursday, February 5

Social Justice Film Festival – Cascades at Bush
All Bush community members are invited to join us on Thursday, February 5 for the Social Justice Film Festival, featuring three original short films created by Upper School students during their Cascades at Bush courses.

As part of this immersive, three-week experiential learning program, students researched real-world issues, developed story concepts, conducted interviews, and produced documentary-style films that explore questions of community, health, and equity. The result is a powerful and accessible showcase of student voice, creativity, and critical thinking.
This year’s films focus on:
  • Food insecurity and access to basic needs
  • Small businesses’ struggle and importance in Seattle
  • Nicotine use and youth health
The evening will include film screenings followed by brief student reflections and discussion. Content is appropriate for K–12 students and families, and offers a meaningful opportunity to see how Bush students engage with social issues through storytelling and media.

Date: Thursday, February 5
Time: 6:00–7:30 p.m.
Location: Upper School South Multipurpose Room (enter via Lake Washington Blvd)
Light dinner and snacks provided
