Lower School Service Club Thank You and Save the Date
HALLOWEEN COSTUMES FOR NICU INFANTS
Our second Service Club event of the year was a wonderful afternoon of creativity and teamwork! Twenty-eight students and ten volunteers came together to make 62 colorful and fun Halloween costumes for infants in the NICUs at Seattle Children’s Hospital and the University of Washington Medical Center.
Students blazed through assembling and decorating the pre-cut felt costumes, then let their imaginations run wild, creating their own designs! From wild things and dinosaurs to elves, eggs and toast, the creativity was endless. Each costume was made with care to bring a little joy to NICU families and help them celebrate the Halloween season.
A huge thank you to all the students and volunteers who helped make this project such a success! It was a great reminder of what service is all about: working together to make our communities better, one tiny costume at a time!

Our Bush worms have been hard at work all year turning food scraps into nutrient-rich compost! Join Service Club and Athletic Director, Jo Ito, to harvest worm castings, replace the bedding, and get the worm bin ready for another year of composting. Sign up and details to come.
