November Service Club: Refreshing the Bush Worm Bin!

As the seasons shift and the leaves begin to fall, our Lower School Service Club is turning its attention to the natural cycles that help keep our environment healthy! This November, students will take part in a hands-on project exploring composting, soil health, and the important role worms play in sustaining our ecosystem.
Our Bush worms have been hard at work all year turning food scraps into nutrient-rich compost! Now in our third year of caring for the Bush School worm bin, it's time to give our hardworking worms a little home makeover!
Join worm enthusiast and Athletic Director Jo Ito as we carefully empty the worm bin, separate the worms from their nutrient-rich castings, prepare new bedding, and get the bin ready for another year of composting.
Students will learn how worms help reduce food waste, enrich our soil, and support a healthy ecosystem. Be prepared to get your hands dirty!
