Bush Girls Tennis Team Clinches District Title

The Bush Girls Varsity Tennis team continues to make history as they clinched the District Championship as a team today, Friday, May 16 at the Amy Yee Tennis Center.

After winning the league title, six Blazers advanced to compete in the district tournament. Their competitive play in hard fought district matches earned the team the title for the first time since 2007.

Out of district play, Makenna K. ’27 won her final district match-up 6-0, 6-2 to advance to the WIAA state tournament. Lead by Head Coach, Cara Holloway, who won Emerald Sound Conference Coach of the Year, the Blazers focused on a strong team identity this season and it has paid off.

Makenna will head to Yakima to compete in states beginning on Friday, May 23.
