Helped provide supplies for the first-ever Second Grade Poetry Café. During their spring poetry unit, students explored various poetic styles and learned to use figurative language and vivid imagery to express emotion and meaning. After drafting, revising, and publishing their poems, students shared their work at a classroom Poetry Café, where families were invited to listen. Students read aloud in small groups, with some choosing to present individually in front of parents and classmates.
