The Upper School Production of The Time Is Now, A Studio Showcase of Short Plays - Thursday, November 6 through Saturday, November 8

 
Join us in November for The Time Is Now, a studio showcase of short plays created in collaboration with Climate Change Theatre Action (CCTA), a global initiative using theatre to engage with the climate crisis through art, storytelling, and shared experience.

Location: Benaroya Theater

Founded in 2015, CCTA is a worldwide festival of short plays presented every two years in conjunction with the United Nations COP meetings. Every cycle, fifty professional playwrights from all inhabited continents, as well as various cultures and Indigenous nations, are commissioned to write five-minute plays about an aspect of the climate crisis, inspired by a shared climate-related prompt.

From this cycle’s collection, we’ve curated a selection of bold, funny, poignant, and powerful works that explore the climate crisis from multiple perspectives. Presented in an intimate studio showcase style, this event invites you to share in the immediacy, energy, and connection that live theatre fosters. The Time Is Now is a call to conversation, community, and action that together drive meaningful change.
