Blazers Volleyball On The Rise

The Bush Varsity volleyball team finished the season in second place in their division. Following a win against Forest Ridge in an Emerald City League playoff game, the Blazers earned a spot in the Bi-District Tournament.
At the Emerald City League Championship tournament, the Blazers battled hard but fell to Northwest and Annie Wright. The Blazers finished fourth in the tournament and qualified for the Bi-District tournament for the first time in many years.  Missing a couple of key players due to injuries at Bi-Districts, the Bush team fought hard, but fell to South Whidbey 0-3 and finished their successful season with a 9-10 overall record. When asked about the highlight of the season, Coach Lucy Curtiss cited "seeing how much the team improved from that nail biting five set win over Eastside Prep at the beginning of the season, to beating Northwest at the Blazer Bash on Senior Night."
