Lower and Middle School Students Learn with CNN 10

"We have watched CNN 10, which is a ten-minute segment made for students, most days in our mid-morning meeting for the past six years. It's a great way to learn about the world. Fun stories, as well as important current events. It also ties into geography work that we do in Fifth Grade, as it covers stories around the world and always shows the world map before going to a story, so students are constantly connecting the map with different places!" - Fifth Grade Faculty Neil Davis

Across the Lower and Middle Schools, CNN 10 supports Bush’s commitment to experiential learning, critical thinking, and global citizenship. Students engage with stories from around the world and participate in thoughtful class discussions on topics ranging from proposed youth media policies in France to legislation protecting bodega cats in New York City. These daily touchpoints encourage students to ask questions, consider multiple perspectives, and build habits of staying informed about the world beyond their immediate communities.

Every episode ends in a shoutout to schools, which recently, CNN 10 recognized Middle School History Faculty member Mike Jackson and The Bush School, a fun moment of national connection for our students.
