Girls Varsity Volleyball Playoffs

The Girls Varsity Volleyball team continued its excellent play defeating the previously undefeated Overlake team 3-0. The team has showed tremendous growth after dropping the first round home game against the Owls 3-0 early in the season. Winning yesterday's away game, Overlake's Senior Night, was a special win for the Blazers Volleyball program.
"The teamwork the girls displayed last night was remarkable. They learned from their mistakes and came back stronger.  The positive energy the team has shown throughout the season has been a pleasure to witness and it's contributing to the team peaking at the right time of the season" said Assistant Athletic Director Lisa McCullough.

Depending on the outcome of Overlake's last game tonight, there might be a tie-breaking playoff game this Friday night to determine the seeding for first and second place for next week's Emerald City League Championship Tournament. The Blazers' impressive 12-2 league record already secured them a first round bye in next week's league tournament and a spot in the November 3 Bi-District Championships.
