Blazers top the Turks 1-0

Bush Athletics
After returning from a successful retreat to Camp Casey the Blazers Girls Varsity Soccer team traveled to their first away game to play Sultan High School on Tuesday, September 5.

For the season opener, the Bush Blazers hit the road to face the Sultan Turks. Forest fires in the Pacific Northwest made for difficult conditions as the air was filled with ash.  However, the Blazers battled hard in the first half, but after the first 40 minutes, the score remained 0-0. Following a brief stoppage due to the poor weather in the second half, Bush came out blazing. An assist by Freshman Claudia A., and a spectacular finish by Captain Mia A. was too much for the Turks to handle, leading the Blazers to their first win of the season, 1-0.
