Laser Cutter System

Laser cutter system for the Art Department: $22,700
“We have been object makers for years in the art department, and now have a tool that brings us fully into the twenty-first century. During long art projects, this laser cutter becomes the anchor point for a series of complicated processes. Students draw shapes, photograph them with their phones, email photos to the laser cutter station, take their images through Photoshop and Illustrator and watch with wonder as a beam of light cuts complex shapes.” —Bill Baber, Upper School Art Teacher
