Q&A

Why do you serve on The Bush School Board of Trustees?
To impact the school in a positive way and make a difference in any way I can contribute.

What are some of your goals/vision as a member of the board?
To see the school’s highest priorities accomplished. In areas where the school may be falling short of its mission, to be a strategic partner, and helping get on track.

How has Bush changed your life or the life of your family?
My daughter has a school where she can be seen and heard for her authentic self. Where she can explore - both school and the arts - her creative side and see what’s possible. The school is helping us raise our future adults to send off to the world, as caring, empathetic, confident individuals. And that’s what matters most to us.

What are you most passionate about at Bush?
Watching the kids evolve over the years, and how Bush and its mission plays a critical role in that development.

What excites you about the future of Bush as we celebrate 100 years?
Celebrating the first 100. And also, not being satisfied - planning and achieving our way to the next 100.

How would your kids describe you?
That I like to have fun with them, I’m loving and caring, (and) love to play sports with them. (Also) that I can be stern; and they love my cooking.

Current favorite show/series on Netflix/Hulu/Prime?
Winning Time.

Favorite spot on the Bush campus and why?
The basketball court in the Urban Courtyard. That seems like that’s where I spent my days before school started - call it nostalgia.
